Sabeen Jamal

She was leaving for her NCC to Pakistan…before she left we had a fight over a   cassette of songs…she wanted  to take it to Pakistan…I wanted to keep it with me…eventually she took it..I was quite disgusted and did not like it . After she left..I went to sleep.. Under my pillow there was a note..'please naraz na hona'..the anger vanished …and love took over.
Apa ..growing up with you was good .Having you in life is like another  version of mom….always  giving   and never expecting…always leaving our misbehavior in the past and never bringing it in future. ..always loving and caring.
I sometimes think  you must have lost your way..and joined our family by chance
You are beautiful…and people hesitate to believe that we are from the same family..:D
You are so calm, patient, well behaved and 'sughar'…so unlike us..:D
The amazing patience with which you can handle kids...
Mustafa might have been scolded by everyone except you..
The only time I remember you raised your voice was..'hamai bhi to jeenay ka haq hai'  ..:D…(fara…! You were so cruel..:D)
When people say we look like you..we actually take it as a compliment.
I remember(and I know that you wont let me forget)that you took my share of scolding for my carelessness in school..just like an elder sister.
"I smile because you are my sister ..I laugh because there is nothing you can do about it"…
Apa..
We are the one privileged to have you in our life.
My mornings are too sweet because you are my online morning chai-partner..hours pass by so quickly when chatting with you. You ask for little details….and you care for every little thing.
We love your  silent stare…..and big eyes when you wake up ..we love your beautiful curls and your innocent smile with the perfect touch of shyness….we love your concern and care and little favors you do..we love your soft voice  and  everything you do.
"A sister is a gift from God, sent from above to make life worthwhile here below."
Yes apa..you make our life worthwhile..You make us special…Today I would like to thank you for all the ways you have cared..for your  endless love..You are just so adorable and lovable!
I might not tell you this often….but I love you a lot! Your caring ways always show us how much you care..and we might not be so good at it..but we do care for you and  love you loads… we might not accept this when in front of you…but we thank God for such a great blessing …that is you!
Although you are some one who should be celebrated every single day...today we will take time out to  appreciate you ..and celebrate you ..for what you are..! We are so blessed to have you in our family.
We love you apa..:)

Ne Khala

Her house is always sparkling clean and feels like a perfect home. Of all the houses , she has lived in ..one thing is in common . Comfort .As soon so enter her house you start feeling homely and comfortable. I do not know what is it that makes it so relaxing . May be it is the cleanliness..or the royal way she treats the guests ..or  may be the way she designs her home. Whatever it is..a trip to her house is always relaxing.
She showers everyone with gifts and especially takes care of making children feel special.
She makes her guests comfortable and feeds them as much as she can. If she is not well ..her very simple menu would consists of three dishes of meat, two dishes of vegetables, raita, salad, rice and roti..ONLY!:D
The trip to Sui was the most memorable one . She took extra care of Hena and me. Delicious meals..fresh juices every evening…movies and entertainment  . I also remember my birthday which I celebrated there .As the cake was not available on that day…she made me an ice-cream cake. Yes..I will remember that khala…it made me feel so special.

Annie khala is full of creativity. Be if clothes…little details in designing house or presentation  and ideas for food. Mashallah she has limitless ideas always.
Ne khala…although our political view are poles apart but it does not change the fact that you have been a wonderful khala.
I also accept the fact that we are equally afraid of khaloo's aankh and your daant..:D
Thank you for all the things you have done…for all the love and care…for all the lovely daanTs and for being such a caring khala.
We all love you.
If I could borrow one of your characteristics ..I know for sure..it would be your creativity.

Sadaf Azhar

Sometimes we forget to appreciate people who contribute to making our life wonderful. Living in a joint family together ..we have a special bonding …and so do our children .I have shared wonderful moments with you .The best was eating gol- gappay in Lahore .I wanted to have some  but omar bhai was in not a very good mood..but you managed to get it for me…..and we ate it  so quickly….actually it seemed like the tastiest gol-gappay of my life..:D….
And then there was walking to the shop late at night to eat tikka ..after putting bachas and husbands to sleep:D
It is not my fault that the best gift I can think for you is loads of chilli chips and slims :D
You tolerate omar bhais daant for us…so that we can complete our shopping .  Your children are the most disciplined I have seen.
You can message  the same recipe over and over again ..whenever I need without any fuss .(wait..have I lost it again?:D)
Having you means I can cherish the fact that my memory is slightly better than at least some one:D
You have the guts to take a stand for what you think right . At the same time you are always ready to say sorry  and forgive. You are confident and a good speaker .
Visiting you means endless cups of tea ,delicious meals,(that wonderful Raita ),pedicures, facials and having time to be lazy.
Thank you for all the wonderful things you do .Sadaf baji.. I want to tell you today that you are an important part of my life. Thank you for being there for  me always…for listening to me…for supporting me always..for being with me in difficult times…for sharing hysterical craziest moments. Although you admit forgetting to call on special occasions sometimes but I know in my  heart that you care and this is all that matters.

Nani amma

Nani amma is someone who has the strongest will power in the whole family. She is always telling herself 'I can do it ..i can do it..!'. Sometimes the basis of argument with her daughter (Anjum Iqbal is just that)..she thinks that nani amma should not be putting too much stress on her self but nani amma tells confidently :"No I can do it and I will do it".
Every eid….each one of us gets eidi from nani amma ….although she is never in Pakistan at that time .
Whether it is the next morning of a  tiring flight or of a sleepless might..you would see her waking up for fajar prayers and reading Quran.
Her basin ki roti one of the most amazing things in world..!

She has this way of mingling with everyone that while cracking all type of jokes you do not hesitate that nani amma is sitting with you. In fact  she is the one who would make you laugh . She is frank and hates takulluf. Her secret giggles are are just so cute.

She would insist on doing her work herself to remain active .She can sit a thousand times to takes rest while walking in muree..but in no way would she miss the fun.She would walk and enjoy with us no matter how tired she gets.
Nani amma…We might not tell you every time we  meet you..but yes we love you..:)
You are one of the cutest nanis in this world.
If I could borrow one of your characteristics it would be standing up for your own rights .

Aneela Sardar Khan

“In life you will realize that there is a purpose for every person you meet .Some are there to test you , some will use you ,some will teach you and some will bring out the best in you ”
Aneela Sardar Khan is someone who brings out the best in you.
She proved to be a guiding light in the start of my teaching career. She taught all the basics along with placing full confidence in my abilities.
Instead of playing blame games , she concentrates on finding solution .If you make mistake ..she would not just order you to ‘GO and FIX IT’. She would sit down with you and will show the correct way..she will give you her time to fix the problem..
She has the audacity to tell the truth at all time .Lying is a very common method to save oneself from unintentional mistakes .But she would rather face consequences rather than lying.
She is so open and frank with her sub-ordinates ..that they do not find any backbiting material about her. Whenever faced with a problem , they come right up to her.
Even though she is always on her toes, she would always take out time to discuss the problems her staff might face.
Thank you Aneela Sardar Khan for being a leader ,a teacher and a friend . You rock!
